Give Grace

Ok, y'all. I'm gonna get serious for a sec to tell you about a cause that is near-and-dear to my heart: the Give Grace Campaign. An initiative to help one sweet mama, and {so I pray} many MANY more. Many of y'all comment on how blessed we are to have four healthy little girls. And you don't know just how right you are. Over the past nine years, we have endured a series of pregnancies and losses: second trimester labor and loss of our only son, a rush to the emergency room to learn that we had lost our twins...

This is my mom. The happiest, healthiest, silliest, most talented artist, most loving nana to my girls, most beautiful light in my life. She passed away this February. Way way WAY too soon in my opinion, but not in God's opinion; her passing was perfectly timed in His eyes. Do you see that smile on her face as she was being baptized here? I am one of those rare individuals who loves Mondays. It’s like New Year’s Day every week. A brand new chance to fix what I screwed up last week. A brand new chance to spread joy throughout the land and spread His light to those around me. This weekend I volunteered at the Extraordinary Women conference. It’s the second year in a row I’ve volunteered on the “Greeting” team, and this particular year I was the Greeting Team Leader. As a greeter, you’re the first person someone sees when they come to the conference. You can’t just take their ticket...

In the Bean Time

So I'm struggling with the inner perfectionist as I try to say "I'm ready" with this new site. Because y'all, this is still so crazy! We started this thing with an Excel spreadsheet and a few orders from Facebook friends. Laying on our bellies at midnight in our tiny kitchen after a long day at our "real jobs", eyeballing necklace designs by balancing our chin on the tile floor, hammering words into metal. {I tried sticking the doormat under the pieces sometimes, to try not to wake the tinies. But that made the hammer bounce and hit my face. I've...
