In the south, we don't really have four traditional seasons - you know, spring, summer, fall, winter. Instead, we have almost summer, summer, still summer, and rain.  When it comes, it always seems like the most inopportune time. Just after you’ve washed the car. Or just after the kids made some amazing chalk art on the front walk. On your wedding day, or the morning of your child’s outdoor birthday extravaganza. There Are Days

There are days when you just need someone to grab you by the hand, and tell you don’t worry, everything works out okay.  Days when the kids are finally in bed and you can process the over-the-top post-toddler tantrum that happened earlier in the day, and you’re fairly certain that you need to call in an exorcist. Days when you have to listen to your child explain why another child threw a football at his head in reaction to your own child's impulsive act that was meant as an extension of friendship.
